Description

Detool Technicians unload ovens into the Detool department, de-bag, drill primary tooling holes, and detool parts from layup molds without damaging parts or tools. Identify parts to maintain traceability and process paperwork/buyoffs promptly. Technicians remove excess resin flashing, tape, and debris from the mold's surface. Clean and degrease the molds with a chemical solvent and apply a release agent before returning them to production.

Schedule: Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday; 3:30pm - 2:00am. A 10$ shift differential will be added to the base pay for this shift.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

* Proficient in ODMP Technician II duties plus
* Leads new developments and concepts for functional areas
* Proficient in running ovens and autoclave, can de-tool and drill any part without defect
* Mentor and train less experienced employees
* Ability to see overall picture and alternative approaches
* Ability to problem solve without supervision
* Expert with Detool or Oven/Autoclave process
* Involved in RCCA activities and one point lessons
* Involved in new developments for their functional responsibility.
* Prepare and load prepreg lay up parts in the oven, program DAQVIEW and oven
* Develops, enforces and adheres to 6S standards (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
* Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.
* Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High School Diploma or GED; or one to twelve months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * +2 years ODMP experience * Minimum 2 months Cirrus experience or comparable composite work, or 10 years of manufacturing experience * Proficient knowledge of hand and power tools * Ability to read, analyze and interrupt blueprints, specs, technical drawings, procedures or regulations. * Ability to write routine reports and procedures. * Ability to communicate and respond to common questions from supervisors, leads, and co-workers. * Leadership skills, ability to present complex information to management, giving feedback, etc. * Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team.
