    Summary:

    Cost Accountant position isn’t your typical accounting role.

Cost accounting implementation kicks off this summer, and this person will be key in bringing it to life.     ?? What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in cost accounting within healthcare or related sectors — including nonprofit organizations, education, insurance, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, government, or long-term care/senior living facilities (non-negotiable)
  • A track record of leading or contributing to a cost accounting implementation
  • Familiarity with tools like StrataJazz, Epic, or Workday (bonus points if you’ve used all three!)
  • A detail-oriented professional who brings not just precision, but also curiosity, energy, and a drive to improve processes

    Essential Job Functions:

    * Conducts data-driven financial analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.

    * Monitors and analyzes cost variances and provide actionable insights for cost control.

    * Collaborates with various departments to gather and analyze financial data.

    * Ensures compliance with healthcare financial regulations and standards.

    * Maintains and utilize the cost accounting software for cost and financial analysis.

    * Provides financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

    * Uses analytical tools to combine clinical, payroll, and financial information to calculate the complete cost of patient care.

    * Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
