Correctional Officers are instrumental to the success of the operations in the Correctional Center. Work is hands-on and interactive with different opportunities of growth. Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, safety, and security of inmates and the correctional center itself.

The Correctional Officer position offers a great staring wage of $24.25 per hour.

No experience necessary, just your willingness to learn. We have full training that will teach you everything that you need to know. As a Correctional Officer, you would be expected to carry out procedures and activities to ensure the security and well-being of persons being held in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.

Additional Information

Basic Requirements: 1. High school graduate or GED and at least 18 years of age. 2. Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including a medical and drug/alcohol screening. 3. Knowledge of dealing with people, multi-tasking, legalities of restricted environment, ability to successful pass licensing for Correctional Officer Certificate, and maintain a valid driver's license. 4. Must have availability to work rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
