    Job Description
    We are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support U.S. Space Force mission environments within classified settings. This role provides day-to-day security support for both Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) systems, ensuring compliance with applicable security policies and accreditation requirements.

    Responsibilities
  • Be familiar with security policies, manuals, and applicable ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, and other guiding policy documents
  • Work effectively in a dynamic environment and interact with DoD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Demonstrate originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision
  • Review, prepare, and update RMF accreditation packages
  • Notify stakeholders when changes occur that may impact RMF accreditation or certification
  • Perform RMF self-inspections and provide security coordination and review of system test plans
  • Identify RMF vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
  • Conduct security surveys and gather documentation for system accreditation packages
  • Coordinate, prepare, and track RMF inspections, reports, and responses
  • Maintain RMF security records
  • Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to information systems
  • Ensure RMF-authorized systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of internal and external customers
  • Assist SDA and other government agencies with Cyber Test & Evaluation (CT&E) efforts
  • Maintain information system security posture in accordance with RMF authorization
  • Collect and analyze security scans and audit logs
  • Perform vulnerability management activities
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of RMF-authorized systems in classified environments

Additional Information

Qualifications • 5–9 years of total related experience • Extensive knowledge of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Splunk • Systems Administrator (SysAdmin) experience Education • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience (4 years) Certifications • Must meet certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance • IAT Level II required within 6 months of hire Security Clearance • Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) required
