Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for a broad range of creative and strategic communications/marketing services to help support both engineering and non-engineering clients in their communications efforts. As a member of the AE2S Communications Practice (AE2S Communications), this individual must possess a versatile array of knowledge and skills related to communications and marketing of projects, initiatives, communities, and organizations.

Work will include content creation and implementation, research and planning, branding and marketing, client communication/coordination, and assistance in developing client proposals. Experience in conducting primary and secondary research, data analysis, and strategic planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide marketing and communications support for both engineering and non-engineering clients, and assist with task coordination
  • Develop and help oversee implementation of plans, scopes, campaigns, tactics and/or recommendations for client marketing/communications initiatives
  • Generate written and visual content for marketing, communications, or planning initiatives
  • Review, proofread, and provide recommendations for refining messaging to effectively reach target audiences
  • Conduct primary research such as interviews, focus groups, and surveys
  • Conduct secondary research using tools such as ESRI Tapestry and MySidewalk
  • Assist in strategy development to support team members with client objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Marketing, Communications, Strategic Planning, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in communications, marketing, and/or strategic planning fields
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and planning skills with ability to develop relevant creative content with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Works successfully with a variety of teams, management levels, cultures, and personalities
  • Strong organization, prioritization skills, and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working and managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to network and build relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing plan, communications plan, or strategic plan development experience
  • Experience with product or organization branding
  • Experience in graphic designand/or with videography and post-production
  • Experience with data research tools
  • Willingness to travel and work in multiple states
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and learn new skills
