Responsibilities

Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – (RN Student Preferred)

Location: Hospital Inpatient
Position Status: .9 FTE (72 hours per pay period); Non-exempt subject to OT
Schedule: 72 hours per two-week pay period; must be able to work weekend schedule (every 6th weekend)
Pay Range: $22.29 - $31.21(based on experience)

This position is ideal for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is actively pursuing their Registered Nurse (RN) credentials. This position is responsible for:

* Delivering safe, effective nursing care under the direction of providers.
* Administering medications, immunizations, and treatments as directed.
* Coordinating patient care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
* Ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
* Performing treatments according to facility protocols and scope of practice.
* Responding to emergent situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
* Assisting inpatient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
* Maintaining compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Information

Qualifications Required: * Current LPN License – Minnesota * American Heart CPR and ACLS certifications are required. Will provide training for ACLS but certification must be obtained within 4 months of employment. Preferred(s): * Experience in Obstetrics, Medical, Surgical or ICU * Minimum of 1 year working in a healthcare setting * EMR – Epic experience Competencies: * Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance * Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient * Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
