Education: Master’s Degree with major concentration in CTE, secondary administration, or other related areas.
Qualifications: Must have a valid North Dakota teaching license or a CTE license. Must have equivalent of at least 3 years of teaching experience within CTE. Successful completion of additional administrative credential requirements set forth by the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Job Goal: The role of the interim CTE Coordinator is to support the overall leadership, management, and supervision of programs and services at the Career Impact Academy. This position assists the Executive Director of Career & Technical Education in the daily operations of the center, program development and evaluation, staff supervision, student services coordination, community relations, and student behavior management.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
* Assist in the management and administration of all CTE programs and services at the Career Impact Academy.
* Support the Director in the supervision and evaluation of instructional and support staff.
* Collaborate with local school districts, post-secondary institutions, and community/business partners to promote and develop high-quality career and technical education opportunities.
* Coordinate program scheduling, student enrollment, and placement processes.
* Monitor student attendance, discipline, safety, and academic performance in partnership with sending school districts.
* Assist in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with labor market demands, industry standards, and state academic and CTE frameworks.
* Participate in the development of annual budgets, grant applications, and federal/state reporting.
* Help oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of the career and technology center’s facilities and equipment.
* Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Executive Director of CTE.
* Facilitate professional development opportunities for instructional staff to support instructional excellence and workforce readiness initiatives.
* Support marketing, recruitment, and public relations activities to promote the center’s programs to students, parents, and the community.
* Maintain accurate and confidential student and program records in accordance with policy and regulations.
* Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of CTE.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
* Typical office and educational facility setting with occasional travel to partner schools, businesses, and post-secondary institutions.
* Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities as needed for events or meetings
* Knowledge of CTE curriculum, instructional strategies, and industry-recognized credentialing systems.
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Terms of Employment: 188 Day Contract plus 20 additional days
Evaluation: By the Executive Director of CTE at least twice each year in the first three years of service (December 15 & April 15), and at least once each year thereafter (April 15).
