Asset Protection

* Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
* Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
* Collaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threats
* Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
* Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
* Taking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effective
* Conducting surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelines
* Monitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviews
* Maintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standards
* Developing and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipment
* Assisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor
* Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls

Safety

* Help mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customers
* Welcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the stores
* Issue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping carts
* Examine and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearms
* Watch facilities and parking areas on foot. Direct traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic, while enforcing parking regulations
* Make regularly scheduled floor and exterior walks to ensure the safety and security of the customers and facility
* Complete monthly reports on safe or non-safe practices found on the sales floor or backstocks

First Responder

* Help customers and staff with vehicle break-downs and lock-outs and retrieve shopping carts from parking areas
* React as necessary and assist in handling any situations – shoplifting, medical emergencies, and inclement weather
* Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
