Conference Strategist

The Conference Strategist will oversee the full lifecycle of conference events, from initial strategy development through to successful delivery. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of several key conference events to achieve conference goals, coordinating key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the companys strategic objectives and brand positioning. You will handle all aspects of event execution with in-house marketing and travel team support, ensuring well organized planning, tracking, and communication throughout the process. A high level of organizational ability, strategic thinking, and effective communication are essential for your success in this role.

Location

The position location can be any of the AE2S office locations with preference locations being Grand Forks, ND or Maple Grove, MN.

Position Responsibilities

  • Research and identify key conferences events that will advance AE2S, staying on top of industry and cultural trends to consistently deliver experiences that are leading-edge, relevant and productive.
  • Plan and develop strategies for each conference event in conjunction with key staff, and clients when applicable, bring new ideas and out-of-the box concepts to elevate events and ensure alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Lead kick-off and debrief meetings to review overall event strategy, messaging, team responsibilities, logistics, leads, and performance.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members to develop and deliver media content and organize travel logistics for event attendees with support from the Travel team.
  • Provides steady stream of communication throughout the event planning process with key stakeholders and attendees to ensure everyone is well informed and clear on expectations.
  • Manage conference recording keeping, collect and track data, and gather feedback for evaluation. This includes management of conference equipment and promotional items.
  • Manage and coordinate all conferences events, including conference sponsorship, client entertainment, and other related events.
  • Provide staff training on conference procedures and engagement strategies.
  • Serve on strategic committees and attend strategic conferences that support the mission of firm.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated relative event or project management experience.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and ability to learn new programs for conference event coordination and recordkeeping.
  • Outgoing with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects with ability to work independently to multi-task, reprioritize as needed, and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to be flexible, maintain a positive attitude, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products.
  • Experience working with Deltek products.
  • Knowledge of webinar platforms.
  • Experience in an Architectural/Engineering/Construction firm.
