Responsibilities

Location: Hospital / Inpatient Unit
Position Status: Non-Exempt - Part-Time (.6 fte)

Schedule: 3 days per week / 8 hours per day

Pay Range: $37.98 - $53.18 /per hour (DOE - based on experience)

The part-time (.6fte) RN- Case Manager/Resource Nurse for the Hospital-Inpatient Unit (IPU) is responsible for overseeing all case management and utilization review (UR) functions. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care across all departments. The role provides consistent coverage for critical case management needs and functions as a resource to nursing, providers, and other departments.

This position is scheduled for three (3) days per week with flexible scheduling, supporting various areas of the hospital including inpatient, swing bed, emergency department, and outpatient services as needed.

* Direct Patient Care - Develops and implements care plans based on patient condition and medical protocols. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.

* Documentation and Reporting - Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).

* Communication and Collaboration - Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members. Provide patient education on care plans, discharge instructions, and medications.
* Patient Advocacy and Safety - Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.

Additional Information

Qualifications Minimum(s): * Current State of Minnesota RN license. * Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care or case management. * Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not currently certified, training will be provided, and certification must be obtained within 4 months of date of hire. * Current American Heart ACLS certification is required. If not ACLS certified, we will train within the first year Preferred(s): * ICU, ER, Medical, Surgical or OB experience. * Experience with Medicare guidelines, critical access hospital swing bed criteria, and discharge planning best practices. * 5+ years of clinical nursing experience * 5+ years of Hospital Inpatient experience Competencies: * Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient * Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills * Proficiency in EMR systems and office software Why Join Our Team?
