ADULT THERAPIST

Candidate must have required North Dakota (ND) license or be able to obtain an ND license within three months of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling and North Dakota license as a LMSW, LAPC/LPC or LMFT. A clinical license (North Dakota) as a LCSW or LPCC is preferred.

SUPERVISED BY: Director of Adult Therapy Services

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

COMPENSATION: Salary range for LMSW, LAPC/LPC or LMFT is $45,547-75,762. Clinical license LCSW or LPCC, salary range is $53,738-$89,563.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual and Group Therapy

* Provide evidence-based individual therapy services for adults who have experienced domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, or stalking.
* Follow-up with adults on CVIC’s therapy waitlist to arrange for therapy services.
* Provide facilitation of therapy groups for adult survivors as appropriate and needed.
* Obtain training in providing distance therapy and provide individual therapy to clients via telehealth when needed.

Restorative Therapy

* Provide evidence-based individual therapy to individuals who have used violence towards an intimate partner to address trauma associated with their past experiences of childhood sexual or family violence.
* When needed, and appropriate, participate in violence intervention program groups to provide participants with information about restorative therapy services, facilitate introductory mindfulness or coping skill

Individual Advocacy and Referrals

* Provide crisis intervention and advocacy services on an as needed basis.
* Become knowledgeable of other related agencies and services and provide clients with appropriate referral information and support in accessing safety net services.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to assist with referrals to our services, helping clients overcome barriers to receiving services.

Record Keeping

* Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records of client sessions, services and demographics and all contacts with clients and other agencies according to established procedures.
* Distribute and collect surveys from clients participating in individual and group therapy, according to established procedures.

Collaboration

* Participate on agency and community committees as assigned.
* Provide public education presentations regarding therapy services as needed.
* Collaborate with violence intervention program staff to meet client needs and collect needed participant data.
