Northeast Human Service Center – Grand Forks – Residential Direct Care Associate - Adult Transitional Living

This is an ongoing temporary position with full-time to part-time hours available.

• Shifts may include Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.

As a Direct Care Associate working with adults in a residential setting, you will provide positive mentoring and guidance to individuals impacted by behavioral health disorders. You will serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions. You will teach daily living activities, including household tasks, hygiene task, effective communication, and socialization with the goal of helping those you serve increase their independence.

An important part of this position is assisting the individuals articulate their goals and what is important for them. You will teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies to assist them in reaching their goals.

You will thrive in this position if you have a passion for teaching individuals life skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives.

Additional Information

To be considered for this position , applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; and two years of work experience providing direct care to special populations. * Will consider filling this position as a Direct Care Associate II, which requires a high school diploma or GED. This position requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
