Our company is looking for an individual to join our team as an Occupational Health Nurse, covering our East Grand Forks, MN factory. This position provides occupational and non-occupational case management, safety and health training, and PPE (personal protection equipment) training and procurement. They coordinate wellness activities, provides first aid treatment and ensure the training of Emergency Response Teams. These activities are provided as required at each of the five factory sites (for Agricultural, Operations and Packaging/Warehouse employees).
The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
* Provide medical case management and coordinates return-to-work program to minimize lost time days and reduce workers’ compensation costs.
* Provide review and approval of Family Medical Leaves for designated employees ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies. Maintains close coordination with Corporate HR.
* Coordinate safety related training for the factory in concert with Factory Management.
* Assists with annual safety training to include all relevant company policies and procedures, Right to Know, OSHA, ergonomics, PPE-training.
* Provide first aid treatment and follow-up to employees as necessary. Trains emergency response teams.
* Develops emergency response team procedures and provides training to ensure its effectiveness.
* Recommend appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) to the Factory Management and the Safety Manager.
* Coordinate and conduct health and wellness programs as requested.
* Complete special projects and other department duties as assigned.
To be successful in this position requires licensing as a Registered Nurse, with five or more years of related experience and knowledge of industrial health, QRC, Workers’ Compensation and return to work programs. Oral and written communications skills and organizational and administrative abilities are necessary. The incumbent must also be able to develop and present effective training programs and maintain professional working relationships with employees and management.
Compensation Range:
$80,650.93 - $100,813.66 Annual Salary
