We are looking for an Inventory Manager to join our team in our Grand Forks, ND location. This role involves handling incoming parts and material, maintaining inventory levels, and preparing job-site orders for delivery from our stock and fabricated products.
Key job responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
1. Assist with maintaining, organizing, and further developing a computerized inventory control system.
2. Assist with shipping of all finished goods.
3. Complete all shipping documents regarding freight carrier used, date shipped, quantities shipped and backordered.
4. Unload incoming freight and load outgoing freight, many times using a forklift.
5. Verify all items on packing slips for quantities received and backordered.
6. Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage and documents as needed.
7. Responsible for putting inventory in designated areas in an organized and efficient manner.
8. Assures all inventory and shipping and receiving information is documented.
9. Responsible for assisting in year-end inventory procedures, as needed.
10. Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory at both warehouse locations.
11. Responsible for various shop and yard general clean-up maintenance.
12. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with suppliers, co-workers, and management.
13. Helps the company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
14. Delivery of parts and materials to jobsites and customer locations.
15. Other duties may be assigned.
The ideal candidate would have:
1. A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
2. Microsoft Excel and word processing software proficiency.
3. The ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
4. The ability to recognize process inefficiencies and to develop new & better processes.
5. 2+ years of inventory management experience.
6. The ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
Working Conditions:
1. Inside and outside environmental conditions including heat, cold, and noise.
2. Hazards from fabrication and warehouse-based environments.
