Public Service Worker- Bus/Shelter Cleaner

To assist the Public Transit department with cleaning busses, cleaning bus shelters and cleaning. Building maintenance, custodial, and grounds work; to assist Public Transit, operation and maintenance; and other routine duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES --Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Functions:

1. Assist with snow removal by performing manual labor in support of snow removal operation; receive training in light snow removal equipment, assist with equipment maintenance.
2. Assist mechanics with clean-up of shop, repair activities, heavy lifting, welding, bending and painting metal containers.
3. Perform a variety of building maintenance and grounds work including custodial work, mowing, painting hydrants, and other general maintenance activities. .
4. Assist with the cleaning and washing of buses, bus shelters, and public transit building. Assists with snow removal and lawn mowing.
