Financial/Utility Consultant

AE2S Nexus, a division of AE2S, is a financial and management consulting firm dedicated to finding solutions for utilities and public sector clients. AE2S Nexus is seeking highly motivated team members to add to our team. As financial planning consultants to both large and small public and private utilities, the work completed by this team varies widely. From municipal budget support, utility rate-design and revenue forecasting to assistance with project funding development, capital improvement and renewal/replacement planning, comprehensive reserve planning, regional benchmarking studies, and overall utility management support.

Preferred Locations: Grand Forks, ND; Lehi, UT; Maple Grove, MN or Woodbury, MN

Responsibilities

* Communicate with clients, build strong relationships, and support project development.

* Oversee and manage project delivery

* Collect and analyze data and prepare business forecasting models for studies including financial planning, revenue requirements, cost of service, impact fees, and rate and fee design

* Draft and deliver technical reports, proposals, and presentations

* Maintain professionalism while dealing with clients and colleagues

* Participate in industry associations and conferences

* Perform other duties as needed

Additional Information

Qualifications Basic Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree (engineering, finance, public affairs, or other related field) * Self-motivated with proven problem-solving skills based on quantitative data analysis * Proven problem-solving skills based on quantitative data analysis * 5+ years of experience with data analysis and large data sets * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives * Willing to travel as required * All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications * Master’s Degree (engineering, finance, public affairs, or other related field) or Public Accountant certification * Experience working in a consulting environment * History working with team members across broad geographies Focused on Empowering our People to Enhance Lives, our work environment is consistently recognized both locally and nationally for our great culture and values, proven recognition programs, and social atmosphere.
