Job Title: Mill Assistant
Job Description
The Mill Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the production floor by managing general labor tasks, including bagging products and hand-stacking them on pallets. This position involves cleaning up spills and machinery between production runs, as well as assisting in the warehouse to load trucks. The role requires someone who can work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Bag products and stack them on pallets.
- Clean up spills and machinery between runs.
- Assist in cleaning out machinery between production runs.
- Support warehouse operations by loading trucks.
- Maintain quality control and testing during production.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic farming and agriculture knowledge
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage work orders and documentation
- Capacity for quality control and testing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Forklift operation
- Inventory management
- Maintenance and repair skills
- No formal work experience required

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily indoor within a grain elevator, with occasional outdoor tasks. The facility maintains good air circulation and uses fans to keep areas comfortable. Employees experience a variety of temperature conditions depending on proximity to doors or machinery. The organization ensures comfort through rotation to prevent strain from repetitive motions. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with training provided right on shift after a one-day orientation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
