We are seeking a motivated Storeroom Supervisor to join our team at our Crookston factory. The individual will supervise factory storeroom staff and activities to ensure compliance with Purchasing and Storeroom procedures and policies.

The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

* Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
* Supervises storeroom employees and their work to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety and sanitation requirements, deadlines, and enforces procedures and processes. Discusses employee performance issues with employees and may issue disciplinary notices as needed.
* Trains and instructs storeroom employees in job duties and policies and procedures or arrange for training to be provided. Acts as the in-house expert in storeroom computer system transactions (SAP) and resolves difficult or complex issues. Creates Purchas Requisitions, Purchase Orders (PO) and Request for Quotations (RFQ).
* Reviews and approves time and attendance bi-weekly payroll reports for storeroom employees and approves time sheets as required.
* Reviews monthly report listing purchase orders created and received by the same individual to ensure proper internal controls.
* The incumbent tracks coal, coke, limerock, chemicals, and repair parts and supplies inventory levels. Reviews on-hand quantities, records usage, issues and receipts, releases against purchase orders.
* Monitors storeroom security and ensures both factory and storeroom employees know purchasing and storeroom procedures for inventory management and ensures only authorized people have access to the storeroom.
* Monitors inventory including overstock and obsolescence levels as established by the Materials Supervisor. Follows procedures for handling of overstock and obsolete storeroom inventory.
* Communicates and coordinates storeroom activities with factory management to ensure needs are met in a timely, professional, and efficient manner while following established purchasing and storeroom policies and procedures. Works closely with factory personnel, storeroom staff, corporate purchasing personnel, the Materials Supervisor, and suppliers.
* Optimizes inventory levels using advanced quantitative methods including (but not limited to) economic order quantity, safety stock, reorder points, inventory analysis, usage analysis, and statistics.
* Encourages reducing the high cost of making small-dollar purchases using solutions such as procurement cards, local purchasing procedures, petty cash, and expense accounts.
* Assists the Materials Supervisor with approving or disapproving new inventory parts additions requested by internal customers.
* Ensures preventative maintenance activities are performed on those storeroom items requiring routine maintenance.
* Schedules and conducts storeroom audits, communicates results and takes action as required. Also participates in storeroom audits conducted by the ACSC Finance department and other third parties.

To be successful in this position requires general business knowledge normally gained through the completion of a four-year degree in business, accounting, logistics, supply management, or related work experience. Knowledge of materials and inventory management and computer systems is required. A mechanical background is also preferred. Supervisory, organizational and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small groups with employees at all levels of the organization are necessary in this position.
