Job description:

Grand Forks Public Schools is seeking a part-time Manager of Online Learning to oversee curriculum, operations, professional development, staff and student performance, support systems, and accountability measures for a newly opening 9-12 virtual school. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

* Devise and implement application and onboarding protocols for online learners.
* Ensure student course enrollment plans align with GFPS graduation and grade level requirements.
* Create and implement protocols for individualized goals and learning progression plans for online learners in collaboration with the student, families, and Grand Forks Virtual High School (GFVHS) faculty and staff.
* Develop staff and student asynchronous, synchronous online, and face to face schedules that ensure both flexibility paired with structured support times and face-to-face summative demonstrations of learning
* Supervise, support, evaluate, and organize professional learning and PLCs for GFVHS staff
* Collaborate with GFVHS and district-wide staff and other entities to provide a full continuum of support for GFVHS learners and teachers.
* Create systems of multi-tiered supports for online learners.
* Serve as a liaison between GFVHS learners and aligned support staff (administration, counselors, etc.) at their correlating school site as needed.
* Monitor student academic progress and ensure regular communication on performance occurs between teachers and families. Assist families and teachers in troubleshooting barriers to student engagement and performance.
* Monitor student attendance in accordance with GFPS attendance guidelines, including following protocols surrounding unexcused absences.
* Track and measure student progress in collaboration with teachers and monitor credits earned / transcripts toward graduation.
* Troubleshoot technology-based issues as they arise for teachers or families.
* Ensure social-emotional and academic skill building lessons are incorporated into virtual classrooms alongside curriculum standards according to individualized student education plans.
* Serve as the administrative liaison for IEP, 504, and other student meetings.
* Create transitional plans so students may seamlessly return to face to face learning upon request or identified need.
* Complete all state and district-required reports and accreditation plans.
* Collaborate with associate and assistant superintendents around program direction and development.

Qualifications:

* Degree in education or related field
* Expertise using technology-based tools and communication platforms, and preferably experience with online learning platforms
* North Dakota teaching license
* Degree in educational administration preferred but not required

Schedule: 2-3 hours per day, 10-15 hours per week.

Compensation: Extra contract: Hourly rate based on teacher salary grid.
